The event, which marked the launch of the activities of the Research Group on the Philosophy of Training – GREPFO, was well attended by philosophers from the classical and ecclesiastical faculties of Cameroon, high school teachers of philosophy, pedagogy inspectors and students.
Presentations at the event focused mainly on the theoretical and didactic foundations of the teaching of philosophy and on the practise of the discipline in secondary schools. These reflection days revealed the need to review the practice of the teaching of philosophy in the professionalization and digital education age. Special emphasis was also laid on the contribution of philosophy to the teaching of humanities such as law and political science, history, anthropology, sociology, psychology and educational sciences.
